Marta Bakowski’s designs are a celebration of colours and materials, two major elements which are often the starting point of her projects. Her objects follow simple and graphical shapes with an elementary functionality, thus leaving room for tactility & expressive qualities while encouraging imagination et interpretation.

By working with dualities and de-contextualisations, her designs are a game of oppositions, contrasts and hijacks. Natural materials meet technological ones, crafts flirt with industry and primitive inspirations transform into pop and modern translations.

For the designer, it is a matter of developing a language that allows  objects to go beyond practicality. By creating links and strong evocations through the development of aesthetical values, her aim is to arouse emotions and encourage relationships between users and objects.

Mathieu Girard graduated from the blue school in 2010. In 2011, he co-founded the company cocorico Paris with Gauthier Pouillart. As a director of Creation and Strategy at cocorico, he develops unique stories which make the reputation of the studio.

By its desire for consistency on a global scale, he works in a wide spectrum of Creation, from interior architecture to visual identity through design or even music, video, art and any other useful medium to develop his projects.

As a designer, it is through the simplicity, originality and ingenuity of his ideas that he articulates his work. Always guided by the will to think the substance before the form.

La Chance, Haymann editions, Kann Design and Cider Editions and collaborate with him on different types of furniture without concessions to contemporary issues. The winner of several competitions including: Colbert & Baccarat Committee Prize, Cinna Jury and Public Prize, VIA Project Aid, Grand-Prix SIMI ‘’Renovated building or particularly innovative redevelopment’’.

Bling is a french design studio created in 2018 by Anaïs Maillard and Charles Corthier. Starting from daily observations, their productions are focused on translating a reality marked by memories, sensations, past moments. They arouse emotions and reflections through contemplative objects, as witnesses to a certain temporality. Their production goes from the DNA of the object to its illustration, graphics, typography, communication, packaging. As much as contemporary objects, they are inspired by forgotten objects, as a reflector history of art.
